SubZERO too cool for school

We went over to the SubZERO festival last night in downtown San Jose. Art, dancing, music… and FOOD TRUCKS!

Crowds around the Treatbot truck

What a great event! South First street was closed off for several blocks and the entire venue was PACKED from the time we got there after 6 to the time we left at 9. I’m sure it thinned out a bit around 11 when the rain started, but it was just super when we were there.

We saw Treatbot, Cabana Dave’s (hoping to see more of them around the south bay), MoBowl, Tikka Bytes, Bill’s Beer Steamed Hot Dogs (forgot to mention them for the last SJEats – sorry, Bill! We saw you there!), An the Go (are they going to spend more time in the south bay, I hope I hope?), MoGo BBQ, Iz it, and Kara’s Cupcakes.

We had a great dinner at Tikka Bytes in the Beer Garden, then went and had a Kara’s Cupcake for dessert.

The amazing number and variety of artists, craftspeople and support organizations there made for a great evening. The Lovely and Talented attended an event earlier in the evening for the Downtown Doors project, which benefits local high school artists (she’s an art teacher).

We had a great time! Thank you to everyone whose efforts made this possible!
